When playing music files or picture files that are organized into subfolders, TVshare forces me to specify only the lowest level folders that contain the target files. I wish to direct TVshare to search the subfolders of a hierarchy of folders and play (or display) the underlying music (or photo) files in sequence or shuffle as it now can only do if they are in the same folder.

Hi R.LeBlanc,

You are right, there is no way currently to have the receiver shuffle all your photos if they are in different folders. The Directv Receivers only grab all the files in the top level folder to shuffle amongst.

There IS a workaround for your music though. if you install iTunes and import your music into iTunes and then use TVShare to share that, then you will get a folder called 'All' which will have all your music in it and you can shuffle from all your songs even though they are actually in separate folders on your drive.
